New vs refurbished CPAP machines
When you shop you may see “new,” “open-box,” and occasionally “refurbished” listings. Definitions and policies vary by retailer, so always read the specific listing.
New
- Factory-sealed, never used, with the full manufacturer warranty.
- Highest price, simplest peace of mind.
Open-box
- Typically a returned or display unit that is unused or barely used.
- Often discounted; warranty coverage depends on the retailer.
Refurbished
- A previously used unit inspected, cleaned, and restored to working condition.
- Lowest price, but warranty terms vary widely — confirm the details.
What to check on any listing
- Warranty: who provides it and for how long.
- Return policy: CPAP machines often have limited returns once used.
- What’s included: tubing, filters, humidifier chamber.
- Hygiene parts: cushions, filters and water chambers are personal-use items, normally replaced new.
For buyers in Thailand, our optional 2-year prepaid service contract can add local servicing and parts after arrival regardless of the machine’s condition — useful where manufacturer service centers may be less accessible. Whatever the condition, confirm warranty and return terms at checkout.
